The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University is the oldest school in the United States dedicated solely to graduate studies in international affairs. Fletcher is regarded as one of the world’s foremost graduate schools of international relations and it’s alumni include hundreds of sitting ambassadors; award-winning journalists and authors; leaders of international peacekeeping, humanitarian and security initiatives; heads of global nonprofit organizations; and executive leadership of some of the world’s largest for-profit companies.
The Fletcher School’s Institute for Business in the Global Context (IBGC) was founded in recognition of the need for a new approach to the study of international business and capital markets—one that prepares global business leaders with essential “contextual intelligence.” Through four core activities—research, dialogue, education, and lab—the Institute provides an interdisciplinary lens through which global markets and the underlying drivers of change can be understood. This is also a forum where original thought leadership, professional education and conversations among peers can be fostered.
The Hitachi Center was founded at The Fletcher School in 1990, with a generous endowment gift from Hitachi, Ltd. Its mission is to sponsor advanced research and instruction, demonstrate intellectual and professional leadership, and encourage and facilitate a global exchange of ideas on the management of innovation and technological change and the advancement of economic and financial integration. Over the years, the Hitachi Center has helped to promote Fletcher’s mission of teaching, research, and service through its support and promotion of internships, research on important issues of global technology management, international finance, and international economic integration, conferences bringing together scholars and policy-makers, and other educational activities.
The World Peace Foundation (WPF) is an operating foundation affiliated solely with Tufts University’s The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. It provides financial support only for projects that the Foundation has initiated itself. WPF aims to provide intellectual leadership for peace. Our view is that the world needs a debate about world peace, drawing rigorously on evidence and theory. vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv vvvvvvvvvv vvvv
