Tufts Biomedical Engineering Society

One of the goals Tufts BMES has continually failed to meet, year after year, is the creation of BMES T-Shirts. The barrier to entry has always been getting a design we all agree upon. As such, we’re going to hold a contest!

Some ideas we’ve had in the past have been something simple, saying our name with the official BMES logo. Others have been funny– “r. u. B.M.E.?” and “got silk?”, and still others have just been creative/thematic ways to write “BMES”.

A quick Google search revealed some other ideas, from the clubs at  Columbia, and Duke Universities.

Be creative! Try to keep the logo to 1 or 2 colors (plus the background color) to cut down on costs, but we will vote on the most popular design at our second meeting and make this finally happen.

In honor of becoming an officially recognized chapter of the National Biomedical Engineering Society last year, we have decided to step up our game and create a web presence.

This site should serve primarily as a place to learn about what’s going on in the club, but we hope to make it more than that. It should also be a forum for people to talk about BME related things, everything from choosing classes and swapping textbooks to getting advice on what media is best for culturing HeLa cells. The more the site is used, the more helpful it will be.
