Community Day 2012

September 28, 2012 · No Comments

Residents, neighbors, and friends are invited to celebrate the tenth annual Community Day at Tufts. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the academic quad. BMES will have a booth and need volunteers.

From experience, Tufts Community Day mostly attracts local children, so our activity will be targeted towards them. This year we will be crafting silk cocoon figures, shown below..

We don’t expect anyone to stay the entire day but it would be great if people could volunteer for an hour or so. You can sign up with your name and phone number at this link:

At last- a website!

August 22, 2012 · No Comments

In honor of becoming an officially recognized chapter of the National Biomedical Engineering Society last year, we have decided to step up our game and create a web presence.

This site should serve primarily as a place to learn about what’s going on in the club, but we hope to make it more than that. It should also be a forum for people to talk about BME related things, everything from choosing classes and swapping textbooks to getting advice on what media is best for culturing HeLa cells. The more the site is used, the more helpful it will be.

Let us know what you want to see on here!
