step1 Pick a CAT

Click on the CAT Questions link, and choose a CAT to work on for the ACE Course. Each CAT will have a faculty member assigned to it who you will be working with.

Wait for a CAT

If a student selects your CAT, he/she may email you with questions while working on it (it will be easiest to find them in the “listed by faculty” format).

step2 Work on your CAT

Click on the link, research your topic, using the Databases, and then complete the CAT form. You will be able to save your progress whenever you add new data by pressing the “SAVE” button. Don’t forget to add the URL to the article that you find during your search. Once you have completed the CAT, please email your faculty advisor and Kim Lipinski –kim.lipinski@tufts.edu to let them know it’s ready for review. You must submit your CAT for approval by January 30, 2017 at 9am.

CATS In Progress

You can view your student’s progress on the CAT before they have submitted it (and if you see them going astray, you can send them an email to say so). However, the student will send you an email once the CAT is ready for you to review it.

step3 Wait for Approval

Once you submit your CAT for approval, please wait until you receive an email from your advisor that your CAT has been approved or that you should revise it. If your advisor asks you to revise it, please email your faculty advisor once it’s completed and ready for re-review. If your first submission is not approved, your second submission is due February 21, 2017.

Review a CAT

Click on the link to review the student’s CAT. When you finish reviewing the CAT, you have 3 options – due 2/13/17:

  1. Approve the CAT as is (please notify the student and Kim Lipinski –kim.lipinski@tufts.eduby email that it is approved)
  2. If the CAT needs minor revisions, you can make these directly to the CAT and then notify the student and Kim Lipinski – kim.lipinski@tufts.edu by email)
  3. If the CAT needs major edits, please send comments to the student by email by 2/13/17 so that they can revise and resubmit it for your review. The student should return a revised CAT to you by 2/21/17 and your final approval is due by 3/2/17.  Please notify Kim Lipinski each time you respond to the student.
