If Brian Kemp closes the Georgia Archives to the public, he is saying that he is not competent to be in charge of the Archives. Therefore, the responsibility of keeping public records open to the public should be handed over to someone that is. Perhaps Mr. Kemp should find a job in Agriculture since that was the field of his education. My ancestors were pioneers of Georgia. While most of them were just regular folks, some of them were Senators, Representatives, and leaders in education, and some of them gave their blood for their country. I've been planning a trip to the Archives to learn more about my heritage, and now the door is being slammed in my face. I'm appalled!
