Web Communications, in collaboration with the university-wide Web Branding Team, recently posted a set of web branding guidelines, which are closely aligned with the Tufts University Visual Identity System, to identify the design elements that should be consistent across all official Tufts websites. These include the Tufts University logo, typography, color palette and other elements that, together, provide a cohesive look and feel across the Tufts web.
The purpose of these guidelines is to support the overall Tufts brand while allowing each school, division and office within the university enough flexibility to express its unique identity. These guidelines were created by a team of communications experts from across the university and will continue to evolve as opportunities to convey the Tufts visual identity through different forms of online media develop.
The team is currently working on guidelines for co-branding on the web. These will be available in early 2012.
