This interactive, self-guided tour around Tufts’ Medford Campus highlights green initiatives and milestones in Tufts’ long history as a pioneer in campus sustainability. It is a great way to find out what we’ve done, what we’re working on, and what you can do to live sustainability or get involved in the many environmental groups around the school.
The Tufts EcoTour is an initiative of the Tufts Office of Sustainability.
How it works:
Start at Mayer Campus Center. Look for the distinctive sign with a QR code embedded in the leafy branches of a tree. Scan the QR code with your smartphone to get information on that particular stop, plus directions to the next destination on the EcoTour. If you don’t already have an app, download one for free (like QR BarCode Scanner for Android or QR Reader for iPhone). If you don’t have a smartphone, well… good for you for finding our website! Now go borrow a smartphone.
Use this map to help you find all 10 stops on the EcoTour. Fill in all the blanks on the back of this card and present this at the final stop to win a prize!
Below is a map of all the locations included in this EcoTour so that you can check the rest of them out.
In case you don’t have time to do the whole tour all at once, it’s useful to know that Stops #1-5 are downhill and #6-10 are uphill. The entire route is just over a mile and takes about an hour to complete.
Good luck and see you at Stop #10! Remember to collect your prize when you get there.
NOTE: Although the EcoTour is currently limited to the Medford Campus, we plan to add more locations in the future and expand to the Boston and Grafton campuses.
