Fall 2015 Research Assistant Opportunity

We are looking for research assistants to assist in data analysis for a study that hopes to better understand practices that support the socio-emotional development of preschool children learning two or more languages. You will be working with a doctoral student, Maria Cristina Limlingan and her faculty advisor Dr. Christine McWayne.

 

Research assistants will work around 5 – 10 hours a week from October 2015 to early March 2016. Responsibilities will include verifying interviews, coding interview transcripts, data entry and reading on past research on Latino preschool children’s language and socio-emotional development. Paid and unpaid positions available.
Qualified applicants are fluent in Spanish and English, have strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and an interest in early childhood education and bilingual language development.  A bachelor’s degree or prior work experience in psychology or a related field is preferred.
