Job for Tufts student: Administrative Assistant for Environmental Studies Program

The Environmental Studies Program is looking for a diligent, reliable and self-starter work-study student to start in mid-September (5-8 hrs a week; $9/hr). The student will work under the supervision of the Environmental Studies Program Administrator. Duties include assisting with basic administrative functions of an office, assist with preparation of promotional material, preparation of publications and/or newsletters, conduct online research, contact alumni and external environmental organizations, do on-campus outreach, assist with event organization, post on social media and other tasks as needed.

S/he must be detail-oriented, have good oral and written communication and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and be able to meet deadlines. Additionally, s/he must be comfortable with technology and be willing and able to learn new software as needed. Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint required. Experience with graphic design and a general interest in environmental topics are a plus.

The successful applicant must be available on Thursdays between 11:30 to 13:30 to assist with our Lunch & Learn seminar series. This position is open to all students but those in the ENVS Program are strongly encouraged to apply.
