Cycle Technology, Inc. was co-founded by five University of Miami students in November of 2018, with a mission of improving college campus recycling programs through the usage of a mobile application paired with Reverse Vending Machines. With a functioning recycling system on the University of Miami campus, Cycle is looking to expand to other college campuses, municipalities, and corporate workspaces around the world through hardware integration and software licensing on preexisting RVMs. Our team is seeking highly motivated students with passions towards technology and sustainability.

Duration of Internship: Summer 2020

Days/Hours: At least 30 Hours per Week. Remote work is acceptable. Daily phone & video calls with team members.

Positions Available: Vertical Farm Project Leader, Financial Analyst, Merchandise Designer, Graphic Designer, Software Developer, Business Development & Strategy, Executive Assistant, Copy Writer/ b(v)log, Sustainable Development and Charitable Initiatives project leader.

Position: Vertical Farm Project Leader

Interns will be primarily tasked with developing marketing and growth strategies for our partner in vertical farming, GroShed. Interns will do an intensive research project on vertical farming technology. Interns will identify key metrics and sensors necessary for developing optimization software for GroShed’s products. Interns will audit GroShed’s manufacturing practices in order to streamline manufacturing and cut costs. Interns will coordinate and assist workflow across all of Cycle’s departments. Critical thinking is key. You must work hard and employ creative solutions when the problem is not always matched to your experience or skill set.

Required Qualifications:
High competency in reading and analysis.
MS PowerPoint & MS Word.
Excellent written and oral communications.
Work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing or recent recipient of bachelor’s degree: Computer Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, Biology, Climate Science
Skills in Photoshop, Adobe Reader, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe inDesign.
Experience gardening.
