We believe that helping people live healthier and greener is a worthwhile cause ? and an attractive business opportunity. We have a great sales team, and happy, paying customers. We believe that bright undergraduate and grad-student interns are essential to our start-up. We work with a number of colleges and universities to provide credit for Practically Green work and view our intern program as a best-in-class training program for those who are considering a career in sustainability. These positions are unpaid, require a commitment of 20+ hours per week in the office, and position the student for full-time employment.
We currently have openings for a Sales & Marketing intern and a Social Media and Communications intern for the term that begins in January 2013. We will also accept applications for Summer 2013.
We?re looking for doers. You should have experience working on a team to accomplish projects and get results. You have the ability to write short copy, e.g. customer service emails, promotion blurbs, Facebook posts, and tweets. You should be very comfortable taking notes and producing reports, preferably with fluency in Excel and Powerpoint. You love hunting down info on the internet. You are comfortable owning a project from start to finish without being managed, and you are not shy about asking for help when direction is unclear. You believe in green, and in helping people improve their lives. You are interesting, love to work, and are fun to spend time with. You read carefully, so put pancake bunny in the subject of your email. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, wide-ranging reading and viewing habits, keen interest in popular culture and the benefits of sustainability for businesses and enterprises of all types. High energy and a willingness and excitement to learn and pitch in is essential!

Interns contribute to multiple aspects of SR Inc’s business from database management to content delivery to client process research on topics within the Sustainable Business & Enterprise Roundtable (SBER) research agenda.
SBER Research and Executive Guidance is based on Member-Client interviews, case studies, secondary resources, and discussions with sector experts and vendors. Research reports always include actionable guidance for executives who manage real estate portfolios. The published reports are continuously enhanced through Member-Client feedback; they are updated regularly as market conditions, technologies, and practices evolve. Research findings are presented at Client meetings throughout the U.S.

|The New Entry Sustainable Farming Project is seeking a work-study eligible graduate student to serve as our Farmer Training Course Assistant. Must be available on Wednesday evenings from 5 – 9 pm and able to travel to Lowell, MA. Course meets from October – December and again January – March on Wednesday evenings for a 3-hour session. Responsibilities include: preparing course materials for trainings; scheduling speakers and field trips to farms/markets; coordinating logistics for training courses; attending training sessions and providing technical assistance to participants; evaluating training sessions; and assisting in revisions of training manuals. General Job requirements:
The Intern will report to the Executive Director and Communications Committee Chair and will meet at least twice a week with the Executive Director for updates and planning. Interns are expected to work from the USGBC MA Chapter office at least half their time. The Intern will attend monthly Communications Committee meetings and will be required to attend a hands-on website and database training.
Students and recent graduates with a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field are encouraged to apply. Depending on skills and interests, intern projects may include:

This is a three+ month commitment of 20 hours a week, with the potential to be extended or evolved into a more significant position.
