Grants and Internships

2013 Summer Grants Program

The Feinstein International Center annual summer grants program is open to all students at Tufts University.

The objective of the grants program is to stimulate applied research in issues pertaining to complex emergencies, humanitarian assistance, refugees and internally displaced people, natural disasters, and food security. The program will provide small research and internship grants both for field-based positions overseas and for work based in the U.S.

Grant recipients will be expected to submit a report and make a short presentation to the FIC in the fall.

Use of funds: The grants are intended to support travel and living expenses. Funds cannot be used to cover salary, overhead, indirect costs, or the purchase of equipment.

Submission of proposals: Interested applicants should submit a three-page proposal, a resume, one or two recommendation letters, proof of internship from the organization who offered this internship, and a detailed budget. (Download the application form.)
