Twenty-ten

Welcome to a new year and a new decade!  Whether you call it twenty-ten, or two thousand ten, I hope that 2010 will be a year of peace for all of us.

Fletcher in general, and the Admissions Office in particular, have been super quiet for the last ten days.  Within the Office, we’re back to full staff.  The School, on the other hand, is still deserted, and not just by all the usual people — the Hall of Flags is today the Hall of No Flags.  I’m assuming that someone took them down for cleaning while I was away.

Today will be filled with catch-up activities for all of us.  More news/info coming soon.

Thank you so much, Juan and Jianyu, for the kind words.

Please let me know if there are other topics that deserve a bit of illumination. Meanwhile…no flags yet, but I’m betting they’ll be back before our new students arrive next week.

    Best,

    Jessica,
As you may know by now, I am a big fan of this blog since I first thought about applying to grad school. Thank you for opening the doors to the admissions’ process and thoroughly explaining to prospective students both, the big picture and the particular details of it. I have not been as active as I would like to commenting on this blog, but I always try to keep up to date with it.

Indeed, just as “The Hall of Flags” recalls Jianyu Jin the International Center he used to work at, to me it brings some of my most valuable memories working at “The Hall of the Americas”, at the Main Building of the Organization of American States.

I hope they’ll place the flags on soon! 🙂

    Juan.

“The Hall of Flags” reminds the workplace environment where I used to work for the international center. I am convicted that the Fletcher School will be my ideal place to learn and to grow.

    -Jianyu Jin.
