Forgot to mention that the students are here!

We all anticipate Orientation for a few weeks before it actually happens and then, bam, we’re in the thick of it.  Mobs of new students flowing into (during breaks) and out of (during sessions) the Hall of Flags.  In fact, a few minutes ago there was a real din coming from the HoF (on the other side of the wall in my office), and now it’s silent — the break between the Office of Career Services general presentation and the move to breakout groups.

I’ve had a chance to catch up with quite a few students, especially those I had interviewed or who had visited for some other reason during the application process.  It’s great to see them here, and to have a chance to chat before they’re completely wrapped up in coursework and activities.
