Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I share with you the Strategic Plan for The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy: “To Know the World.”

First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone in the global Fletcher community who contributed to the development of this plan—our faculty, students, alumni, staff, friends and supporters around the world. This was a yearlong process that put a core philosophy into practice: that all of us thinking together are smarter than any one of us thinking alone.

Our Strategic Plan includes four overarching mutually-reinforcing objectives, each supported by specific action items:

  1. Relevance: enhance professional and academic preparation of students as problem solvers, future leaders and agents of change
  2. Reputation: bolster the School’s reputation by increasing research productivity and impact on decision makers
  3. Resources: ensure a robust and more diversified revenue stream to support pursuit of School’s mission
  4. Right Stuff”: maintain a sustainable, diverse and high-quality student body across all our degree programs

We are stronger together, and working together I am confident we will bring our plans to fruition. I hope you will explore the details of the plan on our website and consider what you can do to help future graduates and leaders “To Know the World.”

My very best,
