Measuring farm-to-institution’s impact

Farm to Institution New England (FINE), an organization that works to increase the amount of local food being sold in schools and other institutions across the region, is posting a six-part fall 2017 series of blog posts called “Measuring Up,” focusing on its recent work quantifying the effect that local purchasing is having within the regional food system.

This week they’ve posted an overview of the project as well as a discussion of the tricky problem of defining “local food.”
