Moon Duchin is an Associate Professor of mathematics at Tufts University and serves as director of Tufts’ interdisciplinary Science, Technology, and Society program. Her mathematical research is in geometric group theory, low-dimensional topology, and dynamics. She formed MGGG in Fall 2016 to focus mathematical attention on issues in redistricting.

Mira Bernstein holds a research faculty position in Science, Technology, and Society at Tufts University.  Her MGGG specialties are in data science and mathematics education.

Ari Nieh is a lecturer in Writing, Rhetoric, and Professional Communication at MIT. He specializes in mathematical communication and pedagogy.

Justin Solomon is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT, where he leads the Geometric Data Processing Group.

Diane Alexander is the MGGG’s Communications Director, and has spent the past year working for Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University to empower students with resources and knowledge about the electoral process.
