Undergraduate Researchers Join the Group

Thomas Coons and Sydney Holway  have joined the Guasto Lab to study particulate transport. Sydney (Tufts Physics, 2018) is a  Tufts Summer Scholar (supervised by collaborator Prof. Tim Atherton), who will be working jointly with Thomas (Tufts ME, 2019) to use combination of numerical and microfluidic techniques to study clogging in constricted flows.

Prof. Guasto Speaks in the Tufts Physics Colloquium

Prof. Guasto visited the Tufts Physics Department to deliver an invited lecture in their colloquium series. The talk, entitled “Bacterial transport: Flow and geometry in active matter systems”, was on recent experimental and simulation work in the Guasto Lab pertaining to bacterial transport in porous media flows.
