The Hirsh Health Sciences Library offers full online access to The CRISPR Journal, a peer-reviewed publication dedicated to cutting-edge research in the field of gene editing. The bimonthly journal features research articles, perspectives and commentaries, editorials, and more written by experts in the field.

PA EASY is now PA EXAM Prep, with several new and upcoming features. Note, that to create an individual account you must be on campus and working from an IP authenticated computer.

Here are some updates from the PA Exam Prep Team:

New Features:

  • A full-length 300-question PANCE mock examination mapped to the latest (2019) PANCE blueprint in terms of medical content and task area category weight
    • To access students will go to the main menu at the top left of their dashboard and go down to “Full Length Test”
  • Practice questions in the new PANCE Professional Practice category
    • To access students will go to “Create Your Own Quiz”à “Select Learning Objective”à “Task Area” à “Professional Practice”

A mobile app version of PA Exam Prep will also be available shortly, so students can practice questions at home or on-the-go. Students will be notified when the app is available.

We’ve got Dental Decks, Parts 1 and 2! Each section can be checked out separately at the Circulation Desk on the 4th floor of the Sackler Building.

Dental Decks. Part 1 : NDB Exam.

Dental Decks is a great study resource designed for students to retain the biomedical and dental science information they have learned. Use this easy-to-use flash card series to review all areas covered in the National Board of Dental Examination (NBDE) and National Board Dental Hygiene Examination (NBDHE). Each deck contains more than 1,000 flash cards with a question on the front and a detailed, comprehensive answer and topic review on the back, PLUS a test booklet that contains case studies, which can help students familiarize themselves with the exam format. nature-reviews-disease-primersThe library has recently acquired a new journal, Nature Reviews Disease Primers, which you can now access electronically through the catalog. Here’s some information about this resource from the publisher’s website:

“Each Primer provides a global overview of the field and outlines key open research questions. Primers have a modular structure, covering epidemiology; disease mechanisms; diagnosis, screening and prevention; management; and quality of life.

Authored by an international panel of academic scientists, translational researchers and clinicians, new Primers are published every week.”

  • Its explanations refer to chapters in textbooks we license or hold, so you can study in more depth.
  • Its Exam Review shows the explanation, your answer, the correct answer, and the percentage of exam takers who got each question right.

  • Click Sign Up and register with your Tufts email.
  • Check your email for its activation link.
  • Board Vitals should launch with Go buttons for NBDE I & II above trials you can ignore.
