One Response to 8 Menard Kristen

  1. Amanda Greaves says:

    Hello Kristen,
You brought up reasons as to why Japanese soldiers thought that under their code it was right and just for them to be brutal with other people during war times. If we take it out of Japan, I know that all countries rationalize their brutal behavior. In order to survive in war drastic measures must be taken. It is the nature of the beat. Anyone that tries to rationalize why they are dealing such a harsh hand, is just a person who is trying to find a way to sleep at night. I do not believe that people are born brutal. It is more like a virus. If one person is brutal, what do we do ? We one up them. It is done in hopes that the originator of the behavior will cease. When is all said and done; what happens to your form after dealing out such punishments?
