Dr. Diriba, I am just writing the proposal in similar area specific to the safety net program (PSNP). I want to investigate how these beneficiares unable to graduate from the PSNP after so many years, I want to have an insight why and when these hosueholds could achieve self reliance and to dig into the linking gap. This my first reference as I have done it in my previous thesis. I share your idea, food security is a multi dimensional system of livelihood. few assets cannot bring significant change as far as assets are also vulnerable to shocks. But what type of assets can bring self reliance and food security is my basic question. As far as I read particularly in theories of poverty trap, the majority depends on few assets while rural poor depends on a number of less costly assets with varying utility value. I do not go into commenting your work as I just started working on similar area. As I go step by step through my work I will provide my comments. I appreciate your work, however.
