Only Wanna Give It To You – Essence’s Spring 2013 Concert

Recently Essence had their spring concert entitled Only Wanna Give It To You. Essence is Tufts’only all female a cappella group specializing in music of the African diaspora.
Essence, originally named Spice, was founded in 1990. In 1994, the group officially became Essence, but it was not until the fall of 1998 that they became an a cappella group.

sQ’s Spring Show 2011

Tufts’ sQ! recently performed in their annual Spring Show. The co-ed a capella group rocked out to hits like “Oh Atlanta” by Bad Company and Elvis’ “Can’t Help Fallin’ in Love.”
In this video, the group performs Joss Stone’s “Some Kind of Wonderful.” Lauren Perini (A’11) is featured as the lead soloist:
Anchord Polar Bear Plunge 2011

Several brave members of Anchord, Tufts’ coed Christian a capella group, dove into the freezing Atlantic Ocean on January 29, 2011 as a part of their Winter Retreat. Here’s a video of the plunge:
