Horsing Around

Kerry Sachs (A ’12) scored top honors in the Training Amateur Division at the United States Eventing Association Championship, beating out over 50 other rider/horse teams in the categories of dressage, cross country and stadium jumping. Sachs’s horse, Good Luck Charm, is a home-bred Dutch Warmblood/Arabian/Appaloosa; the two joined over 700 other horses in six different arenas for eight full days of competition in Fairburn, GA. Watch the video below for clips from the event, and a quick interview from Sachs herself.

In addition to the win in her division, Sachs and Good Luck Charm scored the third highest score over all horses; in doing so, she beat out several top professional riders and their best horses from the USA and Canada. Congrats Kerry!
