Last month, the band Papas Fritas, made up of Tufts alums Tony and Samantha Goddess, A95, Shivika Asthana, A95, and Keith Gendel, A94, reunited for a quick tour of Europe. The band was formed in 1992 while the members were students at the Medford/Somerville campus. Papas Fritas toured nationally and internationally following the members’ graduation from Tufts and released four albums over the years 1995-2003. After warming up with a couple of shows around Boston, the band jetted abroad for the last weeks of May to play five shows in France, Belgium and Spain.

Midnight is “a booking group dedicated to bringing up-and-coming, local, and/or independent music to the Tufts community.”
They state on their website:
Our goal: create a social space around great music of all genres, and put on as many shows each semester as our meager budget will allow. ALL FOR FREE.”
Past concerts sponsored by Midnight include Tony Castles, Sonnymoon and Rodeo Church.
