Professor Gallagher collaborates with colleagues at institutions in the United States and other countries on research, policy analysis, and evaluation activities. She also engages in other professional activities.
Current research collaborators include Dr. Xuan Xiaowei of the Development Research Center of the State Council of China, Prof. Arnulf Grubler of Yale University and IIASA, Prof. Gregory Nemet of the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Charlie Wilson of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research in the UK.
Professor Gallagher is also working with Heleen de Coninck and others at the Energy Research Center of the Netherlands, Ambuj Sagar at IIT Dehli, Rob Byrne at Sussex, and Gabriel Blanco from Argentina on a project on technology transfer for climate mitigation supported by CDKN.
Professor Gallagher is also a Senior Research Associate with the Energy Technology Innovation Policy research group in the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School, where she also serves as a member of the Belfer Center board. She collaborates with various faculty and research fellows in the Belfer Center.
As for other professional activities, Professor Gallagher is currently a Lead Analyst of the Global Energy Assessment due out in 2012, and an a member of a study committee convened by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences on an Alternative Energy Future.
She is the carbon mitigation domain editor for WIRES: Climate Change, an interdisciplinary journal. She is also an editor of Environmental Research Letters.
