Internship as Student Teacher

  • Taught and developed curriculum for the 10th grade Art Elective focusing on issues of cultural and personal identity formation.
  • Collaborated with the 7th grade English teacher in developing interdisciplinary curriculum dealing with personal memoir and social justice through graphic novels.  The curriculum was taught to four sections of 7th graders.
  • Co-taught the remaining 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th grade art classes.

Internship as Student Teacher

  • Assisted young artists ages 14 to 18 in strengthening their formal art skills in composition as they worked from live models and various art collections at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

  • Developed and applied lessons for the Drawing and Art History classes.  Focused on developing the student’s basic art skills as well as encouraging creativity and critical thinking.
  • Lead one-on-one consultations with students in order to develop their projects; strengthening their concepts and process.
