Welcome! I am a PhD Candidate in the Economics and Public Policy program jointly organized by the Department of Economics and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy  at Tufts University.

.

I work on topics in Development Economics, with a focus on structural transformation in developing countries. I also study how access to cities, through social networks and markets, affects individuals’ economic behaviors and beliefs. My dissertation focuses on understanding the global factors, government policies and market dynamics affecting the structural transformation process in developing economies. In my job market paper, I study how formal manufacturing firms in a low-income African country adjust to rapid globalization, in particular the rise of China in the world marketplace.

.

I hold a BA in economics from Université Protestante au Congo, a diploma in public administration from Ecole Nationale d’Administration and a MA in policy economics from Williams College. I previously worked on issues of agricultural and rural development for the Office of the Prime Minister in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

.

I am on the 2022-23 job market.
