The Waukesha County Museum is currently seeking a Director of Education & Programming to lead, develop, and grow its educational and programming initiatives as we implement a new strategic plan over the next few years. This exciting position will play a key role in developing engaging education programs and events that both educate and entertain a wide variety of audiences. Proven experience developing successful educational programs geared toward varied audiences from youth to seniors is needed. Experience developing new start-up programs that have gained grant support would be a plus. We are seeking an individual with energy, creative ideas, and an engaging public personality. This position will serve as the main “face” to schools, educators, community outreach programs, and guided tours within the museum. An understanding of state curriculum guidelines and contacts within educational institutions would be helpful. Experience successfully leading adult committees and education task forces to common goals is a plus.

This is a full-time 40+ hr/week department head position reporting directly to the Executive Director. Due to the nature of this position, the work week is Tuesday- Saturday with Sunday and Monday off. Evenings will also be required as needed.
