Curator of Interpretation & Visitor Services
Hagley seeks a creative, dynamic, highly organized individual to lead the interpretive programs produced by the museum.  This position is a key leadership position within the Museum Division and is responsible for creating and implementing the interpretive framework for our site and all of our public programs.  In addition, this position oversees all aspects of the visitor experience through the supervision of daily operations of the museum.  This position has the opportunity to shape the interpretation of our historic site and create educational programs for visitors of all ages.

Candidates should have a master’s degree in history, education, museum studies or a related field and at least five years of museum experience including management and supervisory responsibilities.  Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in the development and evaluation of educational programs for a variety of audiences; the supervision and training of guides and volunteers, and the creation and management of budgets.  Additional experience in grant writing and knowledge of Mid-Atlantic or industrial American history a plus.
