The International Spy Museum seeks a part-time Collections Manger (16 hours/week) to develop, manage, and oversee the collection of 2,000+ artifacts. Responsible for maintaining all records, communicating with potential donors, responding to requests for collection images and to public inquiries. Regularly cleans artifacts/cases and assists Exhibitions Production Manager in the upkeep of the Museum¹s exhibitions. Identifies conservation issues and oversees maintenance. Processes incoming and outgoing loans. Works with Historian to research and identify artifacts that will enhance the permanent collection. Develops and maintains relationships with donors and lenders.  Position requires regular early morning work and flexible time schedule with occasional need to work extended hours/days.

Minimum Education Required
MA in museum studies/Collections Management, administration, or related
experience.

Minimum Experience Required
Two years experience with collections management and registration. Interest in/experience with educational programming.  Proficient in Word, Past Perfect, Excel, Access, MS Office software, desk-top publishing, email, and Internet.

Special Requirements
Flexible and extended work hours including early morning work.
