Education Programs Manager-Search Extended!

The Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, Georgia, seeks an individual to
develop and implement programs for regional PK-12 school audiences.
Specific program areas include, but are not limited to, student tours,
activities, and outreach; school-based, after-school, and summer
programming; pre-service and in-service teacher workshops; speaker
services; and volunteer and docent programs. Directly supervises
contract staff and volunteers. Assists in the development and management of other educational programming as needed.

The position requires a Master’s degree in art education, museum
education, or art history, a preferred minimum of three years working
experience in museum education, proficiency in creating, implementing, evaluating, and teaching educational programs in both classroom and museum settings, and a thorough knowledge of learning theories and curriculum development for a variety of ages and learning abilities. Salary is commensurate with experience.
