The Exhibition Research and Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, budgeting and implementation of all Exhibition research and development projects and systems. The ERD Manager works with the Vice President of Exhibitions, Project Manager and core-team members to develop and managing the creative concepts and communications involved with new temporary and permanent exhibitions and programs, as well as the ongoing improvements to existing exhibits and programs. This position functions as a lead developer as well as supervising departmental staff and contractors involved with exhibition development. The ERD Manager serves as the spokesperson to internal and external audiences for the Exhibition team and is an active participant in the museum field through publishing and presenting at local, regional and/or national conferences, events or other professional activities.
Job Requirements
Position requirements:

BA in natural sciences, writing/composition, museum studies or related field; minimum of five years experience developing exhibitions; supervisory experience with an emphasis on overseeing a creative staff with diverse responsibilities under constant deadlines; excellent oral and written communication skills; exceptional exhibition writing, copyediting and proofreading skills; excellent team building skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and related databases.
