Curator of Education, Mahoning Valley Historical Society, Youngstown, OH

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society ( www.mahoninghistory.org) seeks a
full time Curator of Education to develop, coordinate and implement museum
and outreach educational programs for the AAM-accredited Arms Family
Museum, and the new Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center in Youngstown,
Ohio.  Responsibilities include supervision of interpretive tours,
workshops, special classes, lesson plans, exhibit guides and other print
and electronic resources, and to develop and implement evaluative
assessment instruments to ensure continuous improvement of these programs.
The
successful candidate will be a self-starter and highly motivated to create
and present innovative and inclusive programs that cater to all learning
styles, and promote interdisciplinary collaborations, partnerships, and
links with school districts, universities and colleges, other museums, and
community organizations in the Mahoning Valley region.****

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor¹s Degree in education, history or a
related field with experience as a classroom teacher or museum educator;
knowledge of state curriculum standards and professional education
