The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Art (PAFA), America’s oldest school of fine arts and museum, is currently seeking applicants for a part time Family Programs Assistant. Reporting to the Manager of Family Programs, this position is 20 hours per week, with the possibility of weekend hours as needed. This position will assist in the creation of gallery guides and educational materials for the permanent collection, the development of new family tours and other new family program initiatives. The Family Programs Assistant will also assist in the delivering of off-site family programming when needed.

Qualified candidates should have a BA or BFA in Art, Art Education, or Education. Candidates should have previous teaching experience, should be motivated to work with families, help individuals learn through art, and have a positive attitude towards being a team player and working collaboratively. Candidate must be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the museum education department in regards to scheduling. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience with graphic design a plus. Candidates should have a clean driving record and have the ability to lift tables and supplies.
