The Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) in Philadelphia seeks a Manager of Digital Imaging.  This position is responsible for providing essential support for the conservation staff through creating and managing critical conservation photographic documentation.  This position is also responsible for a wide variety of production oriented digitization projects, including  preparation of estimates, as well as oversight of aspects of digital capture for CCAHA, including advanced photo/studio equipment maintenance and calibration, basic IT and PC/Mac networking duties; software management; ordering of supplies and equipment; timely capture of before/after treatment photos; timely capture of collection digitization imagery; image processing/printing; storage and retrieval of image files; and safe and proper handling of a wide variety of valuable and fragile materials.

B.S. in photography plus professional experience in technical digital imaging is desired.  Required skills include mastery of high-end digital equipment, studio lighting, Photoshop, Bridge, PDF applications and color management. Experience with Nikon and Hasselblad interfaces, tethered shooting environments, metadata creation, archiving systems, computer and network IT are a plus.  Extreme attention to detail and sensitivity to the handling of fragile artifacts are critical.  Experience in a museum or conservation lab environment is beneficial.  Proven supervisory and communication skills.  Salary commensurate with experience.   Excellent benefits.
