Providence Children’s Museum and the Causality and Mind Lab at Brown

University are partnering on an NSF-funded project investigating ways

children develop scientific thinking skills and parents’ understanding

of their children’s learning processes.  The goals of the project are to

develop communication tools to increase museum visitors’ awareness of

the learning that occurs through children’s play and to advance

understanding of children’s scientific reasoning.

We are seeking a Project Researcher tolead front-end and formative

evaluation of tools intended to make children’s learning visible as they

play and explore in the museum and assist in research on the development

of scientific reasoning.
