The Development Coordinator, Campaign will be involved in a myriad of administrative activities related to the Whitney of the Future Campaign which include generating weekly and monthly reports that track and measure the progress of the Museum’s fundraising efforts; processing Campaign gifts and monitoring gift reporting; producing pledge agreements, pledge reminders and acknowledgement letters in a timely manner; and assisting with the Campaign newsletter and updating the Campaign portion of the Whitney’s website.  As an integral member of the Campaign team, the coordinator will also develop agendas for weekly meetings with the Director of the Museum; synthesize, draft and disseminate notes from internal Campaign discussions and bimonthly Trustee Campaign meetings; develop Campaign and building project presentations; draft follow up e-mails and letters and input data, as needed, to ensure the accuracy of Museum’s database.

The Coordinator will also support the activities of the Future Leadership Council, the next generation of philanthropic leaders in New York City who have made pledges to the Whitney’s Capital Campaign; organize and execute Campaign events and other special projects; schedule, create, and maintain necessary tools that guide staff and volunteers with their solicitation efforts; provide support for weekly Prospect Review Sessions; maintain both Campaign electronic and paper files; and assist with other Campaign related and Development activities, as necessary.

Requirements:  B.A., 3 + years in a fast paced Development environment; highly organized with a strong attention to detail; excellent writer and good communication skills;  Experience navigating an organization with multiple locations;  knowledge of MS Office and Raiser’s Edge required; proficient in Excel and Powerpoint; Photoshop a plus.
