While supervising an event, the Events Supervisor will proactively work with the Client, Events Attendants, and Historic Philadelphia Staff to ensure the event is executed properly and to schedule. The Events Supervisor has the ability to provide solutions in a succinct period of time, the ability to plan ahead, and a desire to learn the events industry. The Events Supervisor must have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, detail orientation, and flexibility.

Responsibilities:
• Give extraordinary Guest Service to the Client and all attendees
• Serve as the liaison between the Client, Events Attendants, and Historic Philadelphia Staff
• Lead by example, motivate, and train Events Attendants
• Ensure the punctuality and perfect execution of the details and timeline of the event
• Execute a floor plan and direct vendors to their proscribed location
• Test AV Equipment and troubleshoot technical difficulties
• Complete all paperwork and reporting at the conclusion of the event
• Complete inventory counts and uphold a clean and orderly workspace
• Be knowledgeable of everything Historic Philadelphia has to offer

Requirements
• Ability to have continuous standing and/or walking activity throughout the assigned shift
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to effectively communicate and maintain a professional relationship with other team members and superiors
• Ability to provide the highest level of speed of service for all events in an efficient and professional manner
• Ability to work as early as 8:00am and as late as 12:00am
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays
• Previous food service, customer service experience, or college level education preferred

Compensation
• $13 per hour
