Support Special Events Committees with focus on two annual fundraisers, Derby Day Party the first weekend in May and Preservation Celebration the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Coordinate additional cultivation and thank you events throughout the year – generally two to three. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to committee meeting prep, logistical support and vendor contracting, maintaining donor database and extract mailing list, management of large mailings, budget management, Sponsor and Benefactor benefit fulfillment, create basic signs and inserts for acknowledgement purposes.
Support Board and Executive Committee meetings prep throughout the year – generally 6 Board meetings and 11 Executive Committee meetings; support additional two additional fundraising mailings per year, conduct prospect and donor research as time permits, provide general office support as needed, other duties as assigned
20 hours per week with some flexibility, but must be available on Mondays. $14 per hour. This position is temporary until June 2013 and may become permanent on budget evaluation.
Requirements: Working knowledge of PastPerfect, Raisers Edge, Access or other relational databases, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially managing Excel for production of large mailings, familiarity with Desktop Publishing software for creating signs and other printed materials; and basic research skills; comfortable with independently working with office machines printers, copies, etc. previous experience in event management and/or non profit membership relations preferred.
