The National Building Museum¹s Education Department seeks an energetic,
creative individual to plan and manage educational programs for a general,
adult audience exploring such topics as architecture, engineering, interior
design, landscape architecture, planning, and construction. This position
works as a dynamic team member to foster interdepartmental work and works
cooperatively within the education division to assist with other programs
and projects.  Will coordinate a slate of programs, including conception,
implementation, and evaluation of a variety of program types.  Will work
closely with marketing and communications staff to ensure broad program
visibility and work closely with development staff to ensure on-going
fiscal support. Responsible for the administration of public programs,
including the processing of program registrations and lists, speaker
coordination, program logistics, management of weekly email notifications,
database management, program evaluation, and other related duties. A
successful candidate will be highly organized and able to handle a
fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. Candidates should have
content related experience, possessing a degree in a design-related subject
and/or museum education/studies, and have a minimum of 2 years experience
in project management. Advanced degree and background in the built
environment disciplines desirable, as is experience with an online
database, and website maintenance. Must be flexible in work schedule;
evening and weekend hours required. Excellent oral and written
