EDUCATION ASSISTANT
The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization,
is seeking an Education Assistant to assist the ACP’s Education
Director and support the ACP’s education programs including classes
and workshops in painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, digital
arts, dance and more. The Education Assistant will also supervise the
ACP’s extensive camp programs for youth ages 5 – 16 years of age. The
Education Assistant is a 30 hour per week position that reports to the
Education Director.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Provide clerical support for class enrollment and membership
registration; customer service for class registration and other
programs as needed;
• Greet the public, field inquiries and answer questions about the
organization and its programs;
• Assist the Education Director in developing, planning, coordinating,
and implementing class and workshop programs;
• Prepare studios and supplies for classes and workshops;
• Assist with communications and marketing (including social media) of
classes, workshops, and camps;
• During summer months, supervise Summer Arts and Drama Camps;
• Coordinate the hiring of camp counselors and CITs;
• Assist with inventory and purchasing of art supplies within approved
budget;
• Train and supervise education program volunteers;
• Organize the selection and coordination of scholarship applicants
and recipients;
• Work select evening and weekend hours to provide program supervision;
• Provide general staffing assistance for events and programs as assigned;
• Coordinate workshops and art themed birthday parties.

Qualifications:
1. Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
2. Excellent writing and editing skills
3. Ability to communicate orally in an effective and friendly manner
4. Highly organized
5. BA required
6. Education and/or work experience in arts education or non-profit
administration preferred
7. Sense of humor and ability to work as a team player
8. Final candidates will be required to successfully pass a background check
