Job Description

The Program Assistant provides assistance to the Program Officers responsible for a set of programs in order to provide program support and general administrative support.  Program areas for this position will include the One Maryland One Book, Letters About Literature, Book Festivals, Civil War Discussion, Maryland History Day, Chautauqua, and Speakers Bureau programs.

Duties include the following: support program registration and related activities; prepare and distribute program documents; support outreach efforts; maintain logs of event, participant, and partner data for each program; process participant survey data and prepare reports; manage social media and website updates in collaboration with the MHC Communications Manager; update records in MHC’s various online databases; and other tasks as assigned by Program Officers.

Education Required

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher

Travel Required

This position may require occasional participation in evening and weekend events as well as occasional travel within the state of Maryland.

Compensation
Position is full-time at 35 hours per week at a rate of $14.00 per hour.
