Connecticut Landmarks (CTL) seeks a Site Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of the late 17th and 18th-century Joshua Hempsted and Nathaniel Hempsted Houses, opened to the public seasonally from May through October. In coordination with CTL Hartford staff, the Site Administrator will utilize the historic site and direct museum interpreters to deliver content-rich programs that engage audiences and foster local community involvement.

She/he will advocate for positive change for the site within the New London community and the region during the multi-year, federally-funded reinterpretation project and serve as the primary liaison with the project consulting team. She/he will manage strategic partnerships and collaborations with other organizations in a position to advance this reinterpretation project and CTL’s mission, including Writers Block InK. The Site Administrator will also work with the CTL leadership team to prepare an interpretive plan for the property and ensure that the vision outlined in the Strategic Plan is realized at the Hempsted Houses.

BA required. MA and museum experience preferred. Year-round position at 15 hours per week: June- August 25 hours per week. $18 per hour.
