Manager of Visitor Services [The House of the Seven Gables]

As a key member of the Visitor Services Team, the Manager of Visitor Services will ensure the visitor experience at The House of the Seven Gables is positive and consistent. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this position will supervise the admissions staff and tour guides. This includes making and implementing personnel management decisions, providing leadership, training and development, and daily coaching. The Manager of Visitor Services will also be responsible for daily schedules and managing the daily operations of the historic site.

 

 

Qualifications:
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public and other staff members Must be a team player and able to work well with on cross functional teams Must have excellent oral and solid written communication skills Must have strong organizational skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Previous experience in a supervisory role required, preferably in a museum or similar setting Experience developing and managing budgets a plus Understanding and experience with a POS system also helpful Must be willing to work weekends, especially during October
