Coordinator of Family Gallery Learning – Division of Education

The Museum seeks a Coordinator of Family Gallery Learning within the
Division of Education. This position reports directly to the Associate
Curator of Education for Family and Community Learning and coordinates all
aspects of family programs such as: leading Sunday programs for children
ages 3-10 and their families, teaching in the galleries and studios,
planning and implementing special events, writing interpretive gallery
materials, designing art activities, and supervising part time teaching
staff and interns. Some general office work will be required.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in art, art history,
art education, or museum education with significant knowledge of current
museum education practice and theory. At least 3-5 years Museum experience
required. Excellent organizational, research, and writing skills. Must be
able to stand for two hours at a time, lift 25 pounds without injury, and
sit on low stools or the floor to interact with children. Weekend and
evening work is required.
