Reporting to the Curator of Contemporary Art, the Curatorial Assistant supports day-to-day curatorial functions in the Department of Contemporary Art including: exhibition planning, collection research, care and acquisition; preparation of publications; and teaching from exhibitions and the collection.

Bachelor’s degree in art, art history, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

Knowledge of contemporary art required; familiarity with video art and new media desired.

Office experience necessary, preferably in a museum, gallery, or related area.

Excellent writing, computer, and organizational skills; ability to collaborate.
