The National Museum of the Pacific War is a Historic Site of the Texas Historical Commission, managed by the Admiral Nimitz Foundation.  The site comprises about six acres almost entirely dedicated to interpretation, five buildings with indoor exhibits, a collection of over 50,000 objects and a library of over 5,000 volumes.  Maintaining a vigorous educational, public program and temporary exhibit schedule, the institution is a dynamic experience enjoyed by 125,000 visitors/year.

The Admiral Nimitz Foundation is seeking a qualified professional to serve as an Associate Curator at the National Museum of the Pacific War.  Responsible to the Curator of Collections, including assisting in the management of the artifact and archival collections, their registration, accessioning, storage, care and organization in accordance with accepted standards and museum ethics; assists with collections move and inventories;  environmental and IPM monitoring of storage areas and exhibition galleries, meets and helps schedule donors and researchers as needed; helps train and supervise curatorial volunteers and interns; helps plan, install and care for exhibits; assists in Museum programs as needed; helps maintain computer and paper records concerning collection and care of collection.  Ability to use a collections management database, especially Re: discovery a plus.
