The Indianapolis Museum of Art seeks a skilled professional to provide support and assistance to the museum’s three curators of European and American painting, sculpture, and works on paper. Responsibilities include assisting with the study, management, and interpretation of the permanent collection. The assistant will also provide organizational and research support for special exhibitions, including budget tracking and interdepartmental coordination. Other job duties include managing internal and external communications of the departments and providing administrative support.

Qualifications:  M.A. in Art History, pertinent work experience, demonstrated project management and organizational skills, proven verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in at least one European language (other than English), and aptitude in Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
