Exhibits Assistant [Brooklyn Children's Museum]

The Brooklyn Children’s Museum is seeking an Exhibits Assistant responsible for maintaining components of the Museum’s exhibits (on-site, traveling and visiting), and for supporting the traveling exhibit program. The Exhibits Assistant will help with daily opening and closing of exhibits; maintenance and cleaning of props; and address any related problems. Tasks include: inventory, repair, cleaning, storage and replacement of supplies and props. The Exhibits Assistant also carries out contractual arrangements related to the rental of traveling exhibits.

Qualifications:┬áB.A. and 2-3 years experience in a museum, theater or similar environment; well organized and able to manage a variety of projects; a strong team player; knowledge of exhibit fabrication, repair techniques and materials; ability to research and specify for replacement parts.
