The Walters Art Museum is seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to
work in our Education Division as a Senior Outreach Coordinator in School
Programs. Reporting to the Assistant Director  of Education and Public
Programs, the individual develops and teaches classroom and museum-based
lessons for statewide outreach schools; leads school outreach tours; teaches
museum studio classes; collaborates with teachers to ensure programs and
resources are interdisciplinary and curriculum-based; helps train and
evaluate docents in order to ensure a positive museum experience for school
audiences; coordinates college docent internship program; coordinates and
teaches web-based K-12 classes; and teaches homeschool programs, and perform
other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  B.A. in art history, museum education, fine arts, art
education or art history plus three years of related experience, or M.A in
art history, museum education, fine arts, art education art plus one year of
experience preferred.  Studio art teaching experience, familiarity with
current technology and a background in museum education or classroom
teaching preferred. Knowledge of developmental stages for K-12 students,
arts integration, local and national art education standards, and
application of learning theories to art museum education is essential.
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, written, verbal
and computer skills required.

Must provide own transportation, as travel is required. Transportation
expenses are reimbursed in accordance with the current Federal rate.
